More than a third of Canadians opens in new window said the beach is their preferred vacation destination. And with more than 240,000 kilometres opens in new window of Canadian coastline, they have plenty of spots to choose from. As the days get longer and the temperatures get warmer, your organization might look for ways to get in on the fun this coming beach season. Let these promotional beach items be your guide.

Summer relaxation stations

There are few places better suited for kicking back and relaxing like the beach. When planning a spring or early summer promotion, bring those warm and soothing vibes to your audience. Sponsor a summer concert series, car show or other event. A beach mat or lightweight Peshtemal can be an incentive for an early bird ticket sale or as part of a VIP package.

Draw new customers to your brick-and-mortar store with an open house or product demo event. The first 25 people to walk through the doors get a bright-coloured beach towel. Customers who register for the event—or sign up to receive email or text messages—are entered into a prize draw for a pair of portable backpack chairs.

Fun-in-the-sun classics

The beach can be a place for rest. It can also be a place to be active and have fun. For audiences looking to have a ball, promotional beach items can get their blood pumping. Reward customers who buy other summer-related products by giving promotional beach balls. Or give a sport flyer to every customer on June 20 to celebrate the first day of summer.

A nonprofit looking to put a fun, summery spin on a campaign can give branded beach products as supporter thank-you gifts. Perhaps a food pantry offers donors volleyball beach balls as they try to defeat hunger. Or an organization raising money can set up a tiered reward system. Anyone who donates $25 gets entered into a draw for a wireless speaker.

Beach party upgrades

Many people look forward to summer. It’s not just the season for warm weather—it’s a season for soaking in the sun with friends and family. Embrace that spirit of togetherness by running a social media campaign. Encourage followers to tag three friends they’re excited to spend time with this summer. Choose a few lucky participants to win beach cooler backpacks or beach club can coolers.

If your audience consists of families, invite social followers to post their favourite summertime family photos. If they tag your brand, they could score a front pocket utility tote to carry supplies like sunscreen and snacks for their next beach picnic.

Essential summertime accessories

The sun provides a lot of joy. But there can be too much of a good thing. Keep your audience comfortable by providing branded beach products, like lip balm or ultralight booney hats. Either can be given to attendees at a beach volleyball tournament, swimming fundraiser or other sponsored event. A business near the beach might pass out flip flops or sunglasses during a Canada Day celebration. Attach a small sales collateral piece to let recipients know about your Canada Day sale or new summer products.

Promotional beach products to make waves

For many people, summer is the best time of the year. Your organization can help make their smiles even brighter by incorporating promotional beach items into its marketing strategies.
