Our Literacy Lambton Baby Bookworms Project sees every new baby born at Bluewater Health greeted with a literacy welcome waiting in their bassinet. Handmade totes are filled with board books, a reading log encouraging new parents to read 1000 books before kindergarten to their children, tip sheets, and connections to local early literacy programs, intervention services, and supports for healthy families. This year, we purchased logoed alphabet flash cards from 4imprint.ca to be added to each tote.
