Fair Labor Association
Since 1999 the Fair Labor Association (FLA) has helped to improve the lives of millions of workers around the globe. As a collaborative effort of socially-responsible businesses, universities, and civil-society organizations, it works to provide lasting improvements to working conditions. It does this by providing tools and resources, delivering training, and conducting independent factory assessments. The brands and suppliers highlighted are Accredited FLA Participating Companies, the highest level of FLA affiliation possible.

Certified B Corporations are a new kind of business that works to balance purpose and profit. This is incorporated in their legal governing documents to make it a requirement of board directors to do so. The B Impact assessment process assesses the how the company’s operations and business model impacts its employees, customers, community and environment and helps it set goals for the future. All assessment scores are made public. The program is managed by the non-profit B Lab.
